Awesome House Deserves Awesome Windows
The Awesome House uses Sierra Pacific H3 windows. These innovative windows use several techniques to allow light in, while reducing solar heat gain and radiant heat loss. For example, silicone foam spacers between panes cut down on heat conduction. Frames that mix wood, aluminum, and vinyl are are strong and light, while also boasting improved thermal performance. With the option to choose triple-pane glazing, these windows are some of the most cost-effective on the market.A True Dream Home
OA turned this no-frills 1927 Minneapolis house into a true dream home. From 1,200 sq. ft. to 3,300 sq. ft., from leaky to waterproof, from 1 BA to 4, and broken floor plan to open. The home pays homage to the original house, saving existing red oak floors, and a hand-textured plaster fireplace. Despite the unique exterior, appropriate massing and the rusted color scheme help this expanded and remodeled home blend right into the neighborhood.
Visit the Awesome House during the Parade of Homes Remodelers Showcase, March 31 – April 2, and during the Minneapolis-St. Paul Home Tour, April 29 – 30.
